Elihu Ledesma (EJ)
Lineage: Helio Gracie - Royler Gracie - Saulo Ribeiro - EJ Ledesma

Elihu Ledesma was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where from an early age, showed a desire to challenge himself.  At the age of 17, EJ left Puerto Rico to pursue his educational goals.  As a life-long athlete, EJ missed being part of a team.  The desire to challenge himself, combined with a curiosity for applying leverage to attain victory over an opponent, led EJ to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

EJ began his Jiu-Jitsu training in 1999 and is a Black Belt under six-time world champion Saulo Ribeiro.  EJ is known for his attention to technique and ability to help others develop their Jiu Jitsu attributes.  EJ’s teaching philosophy centers on continuous learning and promoting a team environment.

Over the last ten years EJ has competed in numerous tournaments, most recently winning the Black Belt Senior 1- Bronze medal at the 2011 Pan Am Jiu Jitsu Championships in Irvine, CA.

“Jiu Jitsu is one of the few sports that allows individuals to showcase his/her attributes, combining mental and physical stamina.  Most important, it is a fun way of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and build life long relationships.”
